It was only when he wanted to buy a water after the recording in the run-up to the soccer World Cup that he noticed that his wallet was no longer in his pocket.
Reporter Dominique Metzger described the incident last Friday to Argentine television station TN, for which she also works. According to media reports, she had previously reported on her Instagram account.
After noticing the theft, he went to a local police station, Metzger said. In addition to money, his wallet also contained his credit cards and his identity documents. The policewoman had certainly shown her that they would find the perpetrator because there were surveillance cameras everywhere.

She was also told on the spot that she should decide on the thief’s punishment herself. “What do you want justice to do with him if we find him?” the officer asked Metzger, giving him two punishment options: five years in prison or have the perpetrator expelled from the country.
