Reverse: 1999 has launched its third-anniversary celebration with Version 3.7, “On Another’s Sorrow,” bringing a new story chapter, additional characters, gameplay modes and a substantial lineup of free in-game rewards. The update is available for the 20th-century time-travel RPG on PC and mobile.
Players taking part in the anniversary can receive a free 6-Star character, additional 5-Star characters, 67 free summons and other bonuses, while two new 6-Star characters headline the update’s limited-time banners.
Reverse: 1999 Version 3.7 Adds New Anniversary Story and Rewards
Version 3.7 introduces “On Another’s Sorrow,” a new chapter built around mystery, emotional storytelling and high-stakes intrigue.
During the anniversary celebration, players who log in can collect a range of rewards. These include 67 free summons, a selectable 6-Star Artifice, 25 Unilog and the free “Fire Lotus” Cut-to-fit Garment, along with additional anniversary items.
Free 6-Star Coppélia and 5-Star Characters Available
Coppélia is one of the biggest anniversary giveaways. The 6-Star character is described as a unique being created through the rituals of Manu Vindictae and can be added to a player’s roster simply by logging in during the event period.
Players can also obtain the 5-Star characters Silverwing Eagle and Matilda at no cost by participating in designated in-game events.
The anniversary rewards are designed to give both existing players and newcomers additional options for expanding their character lineups during Version 3.7.
Rhiannon and Ms. Stranger Join Reverse: 1999
The update introduces Rhiannon, a new 6-Star character portrayed as a mystical bird trainer who lives in seclusion alongside her flock of Adar Llwch Gwin.
Rhiannon is available through the limited-time “A Newly Hatched Chapter” summon event from August 13 through September 3. Players can also receive a free Decatone by logging in during the event.
Ms. Stranger Arrives in Phase 2
The second phase of the anniversary introduces Ms. Stranger, a 6-Star spy with an unusual approach to her missions. She repeatedly overwrites her own memories while assuming different identities to complete assignments.
Ms. Stranger’s banner runs from September 3 through September 17. Another free Decatone will be offered during her banner period.
New Anniversary Garments Expand Character Customization
Version 3.7 also introduces anniversary outfits for Nautika, Coppélia, 37 and Spathodea.
Spathodea’s Cut-to-fit Garment, “Fire Lotus,” is available free to players who log in during the anniversary event. Once claimed, the garment remains permanently available on the player’s account.
The additional costumes provide new customization choices for several established and newly featured characters.
New Gameplay Modes and Euphoria Enhancements Arrive
Beyond the anniversary characters and rewards, Version 3.7 expands Reverse: 1999 with several gameplay additions.
Truth a Posteriori and Focused Flashback Lead Gameplay Updates
The update introduces the resource-survival mode “Truth a Posteriori,” along with new challenge stages in “Focused Flashback.”
“The Syndrome of Silence” storyline also continues, while “Musae’s Arcade” returns with “8-Bit Arcade Remix: Beach Battle.”
Nautika and Regulus receive new Euphoria enhancements, while Regulus also gains Photomancy. A new Wilderness theme pack has also been added as part of the anniversary update.
Fan Creations Event Offers Anniversary Prizes
The third-anniversary celebration extends beyond the game with a fan Creations Event. Participants will have an opportunity to win prizes including a Reverse: 1999-themed Alienware gaming laptop, cash prizes, Clear Drops and exclusive merchandise.
Additional anniversary merchandise is also being offered for pre-order through the official store and AmiAmi.

Reverse: 1999 is available on PC through Steam as well as on iOS and Android devices. Version 3.7 builds on the game’s third anniversary with a combination of new story content, limited 6-Star characters, gameplay additions and free rewards.
