holoVillage: Our Cozy Days Adds FLOW GLOW Villagers, Beach Area in Major Summer Update

Date:

holoVillage: Our Cozy Days has received a major free summer update, expanding the slow-life RPG with new villagers, a beach destination, deeper character interactions and additional combat mechanics. The update, released August 24, also arrives alongside new paid DLC and a limited-time discount on the Steam version.

Developed by Robokuro and released through CCMC’s holo Indie brand, the game combines farming and country-life activities with dungeon exploration and characters based on talents from hololive production.

FLOW GLOW Members Join holoVillage as New Villagers

One of the update’s biggest additions is the arrival of five members of hololive DEV_IS unit FLOW GLOW as villagers: Isaki Riona, Koganei Niko, Mizumiya Su, Rindo Chihaya and Kikirara Vivi.

The update also introduces furniture and decorative objects inspired by the new characters, giving players additional options for customizing their villages.

New Beach Area Expands Summer Activities

A new Beach area provides another location for players to explore and spend time with hololive characters. Players can interact with villagers, purchase newly added items and participate in activities around the seaside setting.

The Beach also features a dedicated stage where special mini live performances can take place at night, adding another entertainment element to the game’s social and relaxation-focused activities.

New Villager Interaction System Deepens Relationships

The summer update expands how players interact with characters living in their village.

Through the new Villager Interaction System, players can give collected items to villagers and complete requests for them. Continued interaction can strengthen relationships and potentially unlock rewards, including profile cards and special gifts.

The system adds another progression element outside of farming, crafting and combat, encouraging players to spend more time developing relationships with individual villagers.

Music Player Mode Adds Five Arranged Tracks

Players looking for a more relaxed experience can use the newly introduced Music Player Mode, which allows them to listen to arranged background music while working or relaxing in the game.

Five new arranged tracks have also been introduced with the update.

Combat Expands With Dodge and Guard Mechanics

The update brings significant changes to melee combat by giving different weapon categories new defensive actions.

Swords and katanas can now perform dodges, while hammers and axes gain the ability to guard against incoming attacks. The changes are designed to make weapon selection more meaningful and provide additional tactical options during dungeon encounters.

New High-Difficulty Dungeon Targets Experienced Players

Players looking for tougher challenges can enter a newly added high-difficulty dungeon that takes advantage of the expanded combat mechanics.

The update also teases mysterious new locations appearing on the map, adding further exploration opportunities for players who have progressed through the existing content.

Summer Swimsuit DLC Adds 48 Outfits

Alongside the free update, holoVillage: Our Cozy Days DLC – hololive Summer Swimsuit Set has launched as paid downloadable content.

The DLC unlocks all 48 outfits from the hololive Summer Swimsuit Series after purchase and login. The add-on is priced at $3.99 in the United States and €2.85 in Europe.

The optional costume pack complements the newly introduced Beach area and does not replace the gameplay content included in the free summer update.

holoVillage Receives Limited-Time 20% Discount

CCMC is also offering a 20% discount on the full game through August 30 as part of the summer update rollout.

The standard U.S. price for holoVillage: Our Cozy Days is $24.99. The single-player title is available for PC through Steam and currently supports Japanese and English.

A Broader Slow-Life Experience With hololive Characters

Originally released April 24, holoVillage: Our Cozy Days combines several familiar life-simulation and RPG activities, including farming, fishing, mining, crafting, home customization and dungeon exploration.

Players experience these activities alongside chibi-style versions of VTuber talents from hololive production.

The game is part of holo Indie, CCMC’s umbrella brand for fan-created titles developed through its Game Creator Support Program. The initiative is intended to support creators producing games connected to the hololive production community.

With new villagers, expanded social features, a summer-themed destination and more involved combat, the latest holoVillage: Our Cozy Days update broadens both the relaxing and action-oriented sides of the game while giving existing players additional content to explore.
