Delve Survivors, a dungeon-crawling roguelike that combines classic turn-based strategy with the escalating enemy encounters of modern Survivors-style games, now has an official release schedule. Japanese publisher NGJ Corporation and developer iDiOSLAB announced that the game will launch first on Steam before arriving on Nintendo platforms in early 2027.
The complete Version 1.0 will debut on Steam on November 12, 2026, followed by Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions on January 21, 2027.
Delve Survivors Combines Classic Roguelikes With Modern Survival Gameplay
At its core, Delve Survivors uses grid-based, turn-based combat in which time advances when the player moves. Each step causes the surrounding world and enemies to respond, making positioning and route planning central to survival.
Players descend through dangerous underground environments while facing increasingly large groups of enemies. Attacks, skills, summons and status effects can be combined to manage the hordes while characters become more powerful over the course of a run.
The developers cite classic roguelikes including Rogue, Angband and Tales of Maj’Eyal among the game’s influences. It also draws from modern Survivors-style titles such as Vampire Survivors, Death Must Die, Halls of Torment and Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor.
Despite its traditional tactical foundations, individual runs are designed to last roughly 15 to 30 minutes.
Version 1.0 Includes Nine Main Dungeons and The Abyss
The Steam launch will arrive as the complete Version 1.0 and include nine main dungeons, expanded skills and additional equipment.
Players who reach the endgame will also be able to enter “The Abyss,” a 100-floor dungeon intended to provide a longer-term challenge beyond the main progression.
Character building plays a significant role throughout the experience. Players can discover Magic, Rare, Legendary and Unique equipment, then upgrade, customize and combine their gear to develop different builds.
Three gameplay modes will provide different levels of difficulty and progression. Casual mode offers a more forgiving experience, while Roguelike and Hardcore modes are aimed at players looking for increasingly demanding runs and greater consequences.
Steam Version Launches at $12.99
Delve Survivors will launch on Steam for $12.99 in the United States. Its original soundtrack will be sold separately for $4.99, while a game-and-soundtrack bundle will cost $17.98.
The Nintendo Switch version will follow on January 21 for $16.99 as a digital download.
The Nintendo Switch 2 digital edition will cost $19.99. A physical Nintendo Switch 2 package is also planned at ¥4,500 in Japan and will include an original soundtrack CD and printed materials. The publisher noted that prices, content and regional availability remain subject to change.
Japanese-American Development Team Blends Two Design Eras
Japan-based independent studio iDiOSLAB was founded by a Japanese developer and an American developer who share an interest in traditional dungeon crawlers and contemporary roguelikes.
The studio describes Delve Survivors as an attempt to combine the exploration and strategic depth associated with older rogue-like RPGs with the quicker progression and large-scale combat encounters found in the Survivors-like genre.
NGJ Corporation is handling publishing for the title. The Japanese company works across Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation, providing services including localization, marketing and international distribution.
Delve Survivors Heads to PC First, Consoles in 2027
With its November Steam launch, Delve Survivors will test whether deliberate, tile-by-tile tactical movement can work alongside the relentless enemy pressure associated with modern Survivors games.
The Version 1.0 release will offer nine primary dungeons, an extensive 100-floor endgame challenge, multiple difficulty modes and equipment-driven character builds. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 players will get their opportunity to enter the dungeon when the game reaches both systems in January 2027.
