Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have released a new gameplay overview trailer for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, offering a closer look at the survival-horror game’s combat, supernatural abilities and journey through the Labyrinth. The game launches Oct. 8, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam.
The trailer is narrated by Xalavier Nelson Jr., who voices protagonist Aidan Lynch, and highlights gameplay elements designed to combine traditional survival-horror mechanics with action-focused combat.
Hellraiser: Revival Gameplay Focuses on Survival and Combat
Players will face a range of enemies while exploring the game’s interpretation of the Hellraiser universe.
Combat includes both melee weapons and firearms, requiring players to dodge attacks, conserve ammunition and search environments for healing supplies.
Players can also deploy traps and barter for upgrades as they encounter enemies including Cultists, Runners, Bursters and the Unworthy.
Resource management remains an important part of the experience, with players expected to balance offensive options against limited supplies while navigating hostile environments.
Genesis Configuration Unlocks Supernatural Powers
Puzzle Box Becomes a Weapon
A central part of the combat system is the Genesis Configuration, a supernatural puzzle box that gives Aidan additional abilities.
Players can use its powers to throw objects at enemies, attack them with fire and perform other supernatural actions. Defeating enemies allows players to gather their Suffering, which feeds into the game’s supernatural mechanics.
The Genesis Configuration can also unleash the Hell Chains, one of the franchise’s most recognizable elements.
Combined with conventional weapons, the supernatural abilities are intended to give players multiple approaches to combat while maintaining the survival-horror emphasis on managing resources.
Free Steam Demo Available Before Launch
A free PC demo for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is currently available through Steam.
The demo introduces the game’s original story while providing an early look at combat, crafting and puzzle-solving systems.
Progress made during the demo will not transfer to the full game when it launches.
The demo arrives as Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games prepare for the game’s multiplatform release in October.
Hellraiser: Revival Priced at $39.99
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is available to pre-order digitally for $39.99 on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
A Deluxe Edition is priced at $49.99.
Players who pre-order either digital edition will receive two cosmetic items when the game launches: the Labyrinth Pistol Skin and Martyr Sawblade Skin.
Collector’s Editions Include Licensed Merchandise
Two physical Collector’s Editions are also available for pre-order through Boss Team Games.
Those editions include a selection of licensed collectibles along with the content offered in the Deluxe Edition and the standard pre-order bonuses.
The Collector’s Editions are aimed at fans of the long-running Hellraiser horror franchise, which originated with Clive Barker’s work and expanded across film and other media.
