Another indie developer suggests rejecting Sony’s PS Store sales request

Date:

Sony may be very happy to discount PlayStation Store games at the request of developers, but I’ve heard for weeks that Japanese giants haven’t helped in that sector. The latest statement is the fame of Lucas Pope of Return of the Obra Dinn. This is currently half the price on almost all platforms except PlayStation 4.

Asked if Sony’s system would get a discount, this is what the Pope replied:

It doesn’t make much sense on its own, but this isn’t the first time I’ve heard a story like this.In fact, one eagle eye ResetEra The poster is a compilation of all the individual complaints of developers who were unable to discount their games on the PS Store. It’s really amazing, as it’s not hard to imagine that such a promotion would increase the overall sales of the developer. The Japanese giant has reduced it by 30%.

This can be very frustrating for a lively team. The PlayStation installation base is generally too large to be ignored, but it cannot be a particularly attractive platform for developing PS4. Hopefully this is something the manufacturer can fix quickly. Because it definitely doesn’t look good from where we sit.

The author would have bought the Return of the Obra Dinn for half the price! This is bad news for everyone!
