Apple: Fitness + starts November 3, iOS 15.1 and macOS 12 today

Apple releases macOS 12 Monterey and updates for iOS 15.1, iPadOS 15.1, and watchOS 8.1. Additionally, after the announcement in September that video workouts with Apple Watch will begin this year in Germany, the company now also names a specific start date for Fitness + for Germany, along with One Premium.

Starting on November 3 this year, Apple’s fitness service will not only be launched in Germany, but in a total of 15 new regions: Brazil, Germany, France, Indonesia, Italy, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, Austria, Portugal, Russia and Saudi Arabia, Arabia, Switzerland, Spain and the United Arab Emirates. It was already available in the US, Australia, the UK, and Canada. It is already known that the service will not have any localization for language and trainers, but will remain entirely in English. However, optionally, the subtitles can be displayed in six different languages.

Fitness + is available as a subscription for € 9.99 per month or € 79.99 per year.

Apple One Premium starts in Germany

At the same time, Apple One Premium is also launched in Germany, which in addition to Fitness + also offers access to Apple Music, Apple TV +, Apple Arcade, Apple News + (currently not available in Germany) and iCloud + with 2 TB of storage. for 28.95 euros per month. The subscription can be shared by six family members.

macOS 12 Monterey launches today

As announced on the homepage after Apple’s event last week, Apple also released macOS 12 Monterey today.

HomePod: Lossless Audio and Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio

With the update to version 15.1, HomePod and HomePod Mini also receive Apple’s Lossless Audio and Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio, the latter only for the large HomePod, which has now been discontinued. Both functions can be activated in the launcher application in the settings.
