Block alerts and battery limit for each app

Date:

Android 13, the next version of Google’s operating system, is still quite a long way off, but an initial version is already there Filtered to the network. This reveals a number of innovations that will likely reach Pixel devices and other models that will be updated in about a year.

The most significant innovation that can be pointed out in the meantime is a system called The Android Resource Economy (TARE for short). This system establishes an overall “budget” for system resources, based on the amount of power left in the battery. Each application is allocated a budget and, accordingly, it is determined how long it can run in the background. Applications that demonstrate greater efficiency or importance are more likely to have a higher budget and vice versa – “negative” applications will be at the bottom of the list.

Another change seen in the initial leaked version is a pre-approval requirement for any application designed to send alerts to the user, similar to the situation on iOS. Another line-up with Apple’s operating system is the ability to set a different language for each application. In the current situation, the language of the operating system will also determine the language of all installed applications, unless they use their own configuration menu.

Finally, you may also notice some slight cosmetic changes in Android 13, including the rearrangement of the lock screen and the clock that appears on it.

It is important to emphasize that this is an initial look at a product that is still in its infancy, so there may be many more changes later on. Additional innovations are likely in the works for Android 13, but these have not yet been incorporated into the leaked web version.
