Coronavirus Impact: Board game sales skyrocket as families seek quarantine fun

San Francisco (KGO)-Families seem to be looking for good old days fun while at home. Coronavirus pandemic..

Sales of classic board games like Monopoly are currently skyrocketing. The family is probably buying games indoors to find more entertainment.

Toy company Hasbro reports that board game sales have skyrocketed by more than 20%. Star Wars and Mandalorian toys also brought strong revenue growth.

However, Hasbro’s overall revenue fell 4% due to delays in TV and film production during this pandemic affecting the sale of related toys. Sales of their toys are declining while game sales make up for most of that loss. Hasbro also sells games such as Clue, Jenga, Twister, Life and Guess Who.
