CRKD has begun shipping its new ULT PRO professional wireless gaming controller, expanding its hardware lineup with TMR thumbsticks, a 1000Hz PC polling mode, six remappable inputs and multi-platform connectivity. The controller also includes a charging dock and supports extensive customization through the CRKD Companion App.
CRKD Begins Shipping ULT PRO Gaming Controller
CRKD announced the ULT PRO on Sept. 29, 2026, from Livermore, California. The company describes the device as its most feature-rich controller to date, developed with feedback from the professional gaming community.
The ULT PRO supports Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC, mobile devices, tablets and smart TVs. Connectivity options include 2.4GHz wireless through an included dongle, Bluetooth and USB-C wired play.
When connected to a PC in wired PC mode, both the Switch-layout and PC-layout versions support a 1000Hz polling rate, designed to reduce input latency and provide faster response times.
TMR Thumbsticks Target Stick Drift and Precision
One of the controller’s main hardware features is its use of Tunneling Magnetoresistance, or TMR, thumbsticks.
The magnetic sensor technology is designed to eliminate stick drift while providing greater precision compared with conventional mechanical thumbsticks and Hall Effect alternatives, according to CRKD.
Adjustable Hall Effect Triggers
The ULT PRO also introduces a trigger toggle system that lets players choose between a short, tactile action and longer trigger travel. The left and right triggers can be configured independently.
Hall Effect sensors allow users to adjust trigger actuation sensitivity. On Nintendo Switch, the triggers operate as digital inputs, while PC users receive analog trigger functionality.
Other performance-focused options include adjustable rumble, a No Deadzone Mode for stick responsiveness, a Turbo function for repeated inputs and a platform slider for switching between connected devices.
Six Remappable Inputs and Custom Profiles
The ULT PRO includes six additional remappable inputs: four rear buttons and two shoulder-zone buttons. Players can reassign controls directly during gameplay or through the CRKD Companion App.
Two four-way toggle buttons provide additional access to system functions. Users can also create profile presets and store multiple control configurations on the controller, making it possible to switch setups depending on the game being played.
Customization extends to swappable stick tops and D-pads, which are sold separately.
CRKD Companion App Adds More Configuration Options
Through the CRKD Companion App, owners can manage button assignments, trigger settings, stick sensitivity, presets and firmware updates.
The app also supports CRKD’s True Collection System, which lets owners register the ULT PRO with a unique product number and rarity rank.
Charging Dock and Flexible Battery Options
CRKD includes a rechargeable battery, charging dock, charging cable and high-speed wireless dongle with the ULT PRO.
Players can also use standard AA batteries. An optional additional rechargeable battery pack can be purchased separately, while a hidden compartment in the charging dock can charge a secondary battery for hot swapping between gaming sessions.
ULT PRO Models and Pricing
The ULT PRO launches in three configurations: Smoke Black with a Switch button layout, Smoke Black with a PC layout, and Pal Grey with a Switch layout.
CRKD lists the controller at an MSRP of 69.99, €79.99, £64.99 or A$129.99, depending on market.
Optional D-Pad Packs and Stick Top Packs are compatible with both the ULT PRO and Nitro Deck 2.
