Shueisha Games has launched a new Steam collaboration bundle bringing together the narrative adventure Schrödinger’s Call and prison-break RPG Back to the Dawn. Titled “Stories Woven with Animals,” the bundle became available Sept. 29, alongside newly revealed artwork created by artists from both games.
‘Stories Woven with Animals’ Bundle Arrives on Steam
The collaboration pairs two story-driven games that approach survival, relationships and personal struggles from very different perspectives.
In Schrödinger’s Call, players take the role of Mary, who becomes humanity’s final confidant and listens to people seeking comfort through an old telephone. Among the callers is Thomas, who has one final thing he wants to say.
Back to the Dawn, meanwhile, places players in the role of Thomas, an animal inmate attempting to survive prison life. Players must navigate relationships with fellow prisoners, investigate a larger conspiracy and search for a path to freedom.
Despite their different settings and gameplay styles, both titles focus heavily on characters, difficult choices and connections formed under extraordinary circumstances.
The “Stories Woven with Animals” bundle is available through Steam beginning Sept. 29.
Creators Reveal New Collaboration Artwork
To mark the release, artists associated with the developers of both games produced original crossover illustrations.
Achabox and Banm Create New Artwork
The first collaboration artwork was illustrated by Achabox of Acrobatic Chirimenjako, the developer behind Schrödinger’s Call.
A second illustration was created by Banm of Metal Head Games, the studio responsible for Back to the Dawn.
The artwork brings characters and visual elements from the two titles together while reflecting the distinctive artistic approaches of their respective creators.
About Back to the Dawn
Back to the Dawn is a prison-break role-playing game centered on crime, conspiracy, betrayal and survival.
Players take control of an animal inmate facing the harsh realities of prison life. Progress depends on interacting with other prisoners, building alliances, uncovering hidden information and ultimately attempting to regain freedom.
The game was developed by Metal Head Games and published by Spiral Up Games.
About Schrödinger’s Call
Schrödinger’s Call is an emotional narrative adventure developed by Acrobatic Chirimenjako and published by Shueisha Games. The game was released May 28, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
Its story takes place during the final 21 nanoseconds before a moon crashes into Earth, bringing all life to an end.
Players follow Mary, a girl who awakens inside a mysterious room without any memory of her identity or how she arrived there. Accompanied by a mysterious cat named Hamlet, Mary finds herself answering calls from strangers caught between life and death.
Each conversation reveals stories involving love, grief, pain, comfort and words that were never spoken. At the same time, the calls gradually provide clues about Mary and the circumstances surrounding her.
A Story About Human Connection
Presented with warm, picture book-inspired visuals and theatrical storytelling, Schrödinger’s Call focuses on the emotional significance of being heard during humanity’s final moments.
The single-player title is categorized as a narrative adventure and carries an IARC 7+ rating.
A Chapter 1 demo is also available on Steam. Save data from the demo can be transferred to the full version, provided players complete the demo through its ending.
With the launch of “Stories Woven with Animals,” Schrödinger’s Call and Back to the Dawn are now being presented together as two distinct character-driven experiences built around survival, personal stories and connections formed in extreme circumstances.
