Dr. Disrespect has one major problem with Black Ops Cold War

Date:

The latest Call of Duty title was not released without any issues. Fans are disappointed with the low number of multiplayer maps available at launch, and renowned streamer Dr Disrespect has helped with this issue.

Black Ops Cold War is finally here, and a lot of content has been unpacked. The latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise has been released and I have a lot to like about it. You can try different weapons, attachments, and multiplayer modes, but fans are dissatisfied with some of them. Especially on the map.

At launch, Black Ops Cold War only came with eight different multiplayer maps. The game added Nuketown ’84 on November 24th, shortly thereafter. This map comes with 1980s aesthetics featuring retro graffiti and arcade machines. There are also two fireteam maps with a current total of 11.

Many fans have complained about the small number of places players can fight, and now a well-known streamer has joined in to express dissatisfaction with the situation.

YouTube streamer Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, more commonly known as Dr Disrespect, was in the midst of him. Cold War GB Ladder Match Live Stream As you can see in the clip below, when he briefly touched on the problem.

In this short excerpt, he enjoys Black Ops Cold War, but says he’s disappointed in the small area that can attract players. He further states that at least 15 maps must be available at launch. This is understandable as Black Ops 4 was released in 14. Looking at the comments, it seems that many other fans share this feeling.

Some even suggest copying maps from older CallOfDuty games. This was done earlier as Modern Warfare made up for the lack of 6v6 maps in Ground War, and even this game brought Nuketown 84. This makes players somewhat familiar with the area and much faster than creating a new map.

However, I don’t think developers need to bring back too many old maps, as ported maps have a history of not always working properly in new games due to mechanical changes. Black Ops 4 had this problem with summit and jungle multiplayer maps.

In addition to the technical issues that come with porting old maps, there are far fewer creative ways to design your game. Despite the lower than usual numbers, there are still some real winners when it comes to Black Ops Cold War multiplayer maps.

Armada immediately comes to mind. This map is unique in that it consists of three large blood vessels that can be repositioned by ziplining or swimming. A large area with plenty of room for movement, ideal for sniping. Some checkmates are rapidly gaining popularity with players.

So there’s still a lot of fun in multiplayer mode with the map at hand. Fortunately, Treyarch saw a new collection of maps when Season 1 started on December 10. As a result, location diversity will soon increase.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available for purchase on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PS5.
