Drakong Unveils PixelByte Mini Controller With Attack on Titan Blind Box Series

Date:

Drakong, a gaming hardware brand from Los Angeles-based Hyperkin, has introduced the PixelByte Controller, a miniature, fully functional gamepad designed to combine portable gaming with blind-box collecting. The first PixelByte series features seven officially licensed designs based on the anime franchise Attack on Titan.

Announced Aug. 19, 2026, the controller is available for pre-order with a suggested retail price of $24.99 in the United States. Drakong says additional collectible series featuring entertainment, gaming and other licensed properties are planned.

PixelByte Combines a Mini Gamepad With Blind Box Collecting

The PixelByte is designed as a compact controller that can be carried using its integrated keychain attachment. Users can connect it to a belt loop, backpack, purse or other accessories, positioning the device as a portable alternative to a traditional full-size gamepad.

Unlike conventional controllers sold with a visible design, the PixelByte range uses a blind-box format, meaning buyers do not know which collectible design they will receive until the package is opened.

The launch collection consists of seven Attack on Titan designs.

Drakong describes PixelByte as the world’s first fully functional game controller range offered using the traditional blind-box collectible format.

Bluetooth Support Covers Phones, PCs and Nintendo Switch

Despite its small dimensions, the PixelByte is designed as a multi-platform wireless controller.

Integrated Bluetooth connectivity provides compatibility with iOS and Android devices, PCs, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, Linux-based hardware and other supported systems.

Three operating modes can be selected using a physical switch.

Users can also change the orientation of the bumper and trigger controls and adjust the ABXY action button layout. The D-pad can be configured to replicate the functionality of a left analog stick when needed.

An integrated Turbo Mode is available for games that benefit from repeated button inputs.

Productivity Mode Adds Mouse and Keyboard Functions

PixelByte is not limited to gaming. A separate Productivity Mode allows the device to function as a hybrid mouse and keyboard controller for certain everyday tasks.

Drakong says users can employ the controller to move through presentation slides, remotely trigger a smartphone camera and access PC hotkeys.

The controller also features tactile silicone membrane buttons and a finger-sized loop. Its compact design allows it to double as a small fidget device when it is not being used for gaming or productivity.

Drakong Targets Gamers and Collectors

“The PixelByte Controller is a new concept in collectible hardware from Drakong, the first in the world to be sold under a traditional Blindbox format. Designed for collectors, gamers and everyone who values instant gaming on the go, the PixelByte packs a serious punch into an impressively small size,” Slade Dude Suzuki, lead product developer for Drakong, said.

“Working with some of the most beloved franchises and IP’s in the world, we can’t wait to show gamers what’s in store for the range, with every design featuring exciting looks, quality hardware, and genuine fun.”

The company plans to expand PixelByte beyond its initial anime collaboration, with future collections expected to incorporate licenses and themes spanning games, television, food and other entertainment categories.

Attack on Titan PixelByte Controllers Priced at $24.99

The Attack on Titan PixelByte Controller collection is available for pre-order through Hyperkin’s online store and Amazon.

The suggested retail price is $24.99 in the U.S., €24.99 in Europe and £19.99 in the United Kingdom.

Hyperkin has a long history in the gaming accessories market, while Drakong focuses on gaming hardware that combines functional products with distinctive designs.

PixelByte Brings Collectible Culture to Gaming Hardware

Blind-box products have become a recognizable part of modern collectible culture, particularly for figures and character merchandise. PixelByte applies that model to functional gaming hardware rather than a purely decorative collectible.

With Bluetooth connectivity, multiple control layouts, productivity functions and Nintendo Switch 2 support packed into a keychain-sized design, the PixelByte attempts to bridge the gap between gaming accessory and collectible merchandise.

The seven-design Attack on Titan collection will serve as the first test of that concept, with additional PixelByte series planned for the future.
