Last Pirates: Die Together, a cooperative extraction-horror game built around treasure hunting, monsters and slapstick pirate chaos, is now available on Steam. Developed by Ukrainian studio RetroStyle Games and published by Judatone Studios, the game supports solo play, online public matchmaking and co-op sessions for up to four players.
Released Aug. 18, 2026, the game is priced at $7.99, with regional pricing varying by market. A 20% launch discount is available on Steam for two weeks.
Last Pirates: Die Together Mixes Treasure Hunting With Horror
The core objective in Last Pirates: Die Together is straightforward: collect as much treasure as possible while surviving a haunted pirate world filled with hostile creatures.
Players explore caverns, ships, castles and other locations while trying to satisfy their captain’s demands. The challenge comes from extracting valuable loot without being caught by the monsters and other dangers roaming each area.
The game combines horror mechanics with exaggerated comedy, giving players unusually stretchy arms that can be used to grab treasure, pull apart doors, move furniture and interact with the environment.
Co-Op Supports Up to Four Players
Last Pirates: Die Together supports online co-op for one to four players.
Friends can form a crew together, while players without a pre-made group can enter public online lobbies and be matched with other crewmates.
Teamwork is central to the experience because losing a crew member does not necessarily end a run. Fallen pirates can be revived by attaching their upper body to a replacement lower half, allowing them to return to the action.
The unusual revival mechanic reinforces the game’s comedic approach while giving teams another way to recover from mistakes during an expedition.
Chapters Introduce Different Biomes and Monsters
Gameplay is divided into chapters, with each chapter featuring its own biome, environmental effects and enemy types.
That structure is designed to keep expeditions varied as players move between different locations and encounter new threats.
Between stages, players can improve attributes including health, stamina and carrying capacity. They can also customize their appearance and obtain additional tools and weapons before returning to the hunt.
The progression system gives collected treasure value beyond individual runs, allowing players to gradually strengthen their loadout and improve their chances in later encounters.
Extraction Gameplay Rewards Risk and Team Coordination
The game follows the basic risk-and-reward structure associated with extraction titles. Players must decide how aggressively to pursue valuable loot while avoiding situations that could cost the crew everything it has collected.
Successful teams can gather more treasure and invest in upgrades, while poorly coordinated runs may end with the crew losing its haul.
Because players are also expected to rescue fallen teammates, cooperation becomes important when expeditions begin to go wrong.
