– Data on robotic complexes are currently being collected, the plan is to test them in the army during 2022 to be able to make a decision on the optimal number of complexes that will be part of the army’s weapons, he explained.
According to Saljukov, during the large joint military exercises “West 2021”, the robotic complexes “Uranus 9” and “Nerehta” were used in the combat ranks for the first time. Their tasks were to recognize and eliminate the conditional enemy.
The general explained that the weapons from the complex hit all the targets during the exercises. The operators operating the robotic complexes were located 1.5 kilometers from the target.
As Saljukov explained, the development of promising middle and heavy-class robotic complexes, within the experimental and construction works “Sturm” and “Soratnik”, has been carried out since 2019.
– It will also work on the issue of complex management of aerial and aerial robotic systems, which will be carried out thanks to the software and hardware of the robotic complex, said the commander of the land army.
He added that during 2021, the Russian Armed Forces, together with industrial companies, worked on the inclusion of subsystems that are part of the soldiers’ combat equipment. The subsystem consists of exoskeletons, special robotic suits in the form of armor worn by soldiers, as well as mini and micro drones.
