First images and details of Philips’ high-end 2022 OLED TVs (OLED907/OLED937)

Date:

As usual, Philips’ 2022 high-end OLED TVs from the OLED907 and OLED937 series were unveiled at the iF Design Awards 2022. First details and images can be found here!

Like every year, Philips has once again won an iF Design Award for its high-end OLED TVs, which will be available in Autumn 2022. This gives us the first images and information that we would like to share with you here:

Philips OLED907 with integrated soundbar and subwoofer

Philips OLED907 has a built-in Bowers & Wilkins sound system that sits below the screen like a integrated sound bar was attached. The entire system is covered with acoustic fabric. On the back we see the one that swings freely attached in the middle subwoofers, which also covers low-frequency ranges and should therefore offer a balanced sound representation in all frequency ranges. The premium remote is leather-wrapped on both sides and back and still relies on a host of function keys, including the 10-number field. An Indian Center Mounted Bracket allows you to rotate the OLED907 4K OLED TV. Confirmed sizes are 48, 55 and 65 inches. 3-sided ambilight complete this outstanding TV.

Philips OLED937 with 4-sided Amblight

If you then want something else, you will inevitably end up with the Philips OLED937. The separate Ssound system Bowers and Wilkins, which also acts as support for the OLED display, should be able to play Dolby Atmos 3D sound out of the box. For this, the system was developed with advance, lateral and upward firing speakers equipped, all very well hidden behind the acoustic fabric. Since the screen appears to rise into the air, the TV can also be used with its 4-sided ambilight really shine. A wall installation would be ideal for this model. Also the OLED937 Premium remote control closed with leather. Interestingly, the premium model is so far only in 77 inches been announced. Let’s see if Philips can get carried away with other model sizes, such as an 83-inch model.

OLED907 and OLED937 with OLED Ex panel?

In the spring of 2022, Philips already introduced the OLED807 model series with new Ex OLED panel presented. LG Display’s new panel is based on new deuterium materials, which not only improve the longevity of the panel, but also increase its brightness performance by up to 30 percent. By the way, this is also the reason why OLED807 4K OLED TVs are not yet available for purchase. The delivery of the OLED Ex panels is only planned for the middle of the year. It is still open whether the OLED907 and OLED937 can also feature an OLED Ex panel, or just one. OLED Evo panel with brightness booster. The images suggest the former.

As always, we will receive detailed information as part of the IFA in Berlin, which will take place in person again this year.
