Games in July 2022: These are the highlights for console and PC

The summer slump is noticeable. After only a few highly anticipated games appeared in June, July also offers little. But that does not mean that exciting games will not appear.

We did some research for you and selected the six most exciting games for the next month:

F1 22 – July 1, 2022 (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC)

Monument Valley Panoramic Edition – July 12, 2022 (PC)

Both parts of Monument Valley proved that the mobile app store isn’t just full of weird free games. Puzzle games were inspired by MC Escher’s paintings, the main character Ida has to make her way through a labyrinth of optical illusions and impossible figures. Both games now appear in a “Panoramic Edition” to bring the fantasy world even more to life.

Stray – July 19, 2022 (PS5, PS4, PC)

About two years ago, when the PS5 was first shown, there was also an unusual gameplay trailer: As a cat, “Stray” players will roam what appears to be a dystopian world, inhabited by other animals and robots. . What it is exactly is still rather vague, but so far the games from the publisher Annapurna Interactive, such as “What Remains of Edith Finch” or “The Unfinished Swan”, have been able to convince with unusual concepts and moving stories. It’s also nice: PS Plus Extra or Premium subscribers get the game for free at launch.

As Dusk Falls – July 19, 2022 (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC)

With “As Dusk Falls”, the new studio INTERIOR/NIGHT launches an extremely ambitious first game. The interactive drama revolves around two families and aims to bring players’ decisions to the fore. Because they decide how the story continues and who survives. And if you just want to try the cinematic experience: the game will be available on Game Pass from the date of release.

Live a Live – July 22, 2022 (Nintendo Switch)

Of course, no month of gaming can do without the mandatory remake. However, Live a Live is a special situation because the original game was never released outside of Japan. In the role-playing game, you accompany a total of seven different protagonists in as many periods of time. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – July 29, 2022 (Nintendo Switch)
