Hundreds of spotlights were directed at Michael Gallistl last Friday, because the singer opened the eighth episode of “The Voice of Germany”. Barely 30 seconds later, Peter Maffay’s chair swiveled. One thing is for sure: the player sang his way to the next round of the talent show, and therefore he is one of the 72 most talented musicians of the season.
“When Peter Maffay already turned around at the beginning of the low notes, I just thought ‘Now already?’ and I was very happy that he was doing so well, ”recalls the musician about his successful performance. Despite his huge success, Michael Gallistl is not entirely satisfied: “I could have done better. But you also have to take into account the emotion, all the cameras and the audience of millions.”

It was precisely this accumulated experience that reduced stage fright in his second great appearance on television: “Everything was new with the blinds. The battles are more intense and difficult because you have a direct competitor, but you can deal better with the emotion.” He also appreciates the help of professional musician Peter Maffay: “Peter is a great trainer and has given us totally useful advice. .”
During the preparations in Berlin, the gamer also experienced unforgettable moments outside the studio: “We sang together in the parks and on the street. This has resulted in great friendships with other candidates. There was no competition.”
