As Microsoft confirms with cumulative update KB5014666, Windows 10 with build 19045 will also receive a “feature update”. However, in all likelihood, Windows 10 22H2 will focus less on the feature set and much more on optimizations and bug fixes as well as security updates.

Once the packages have been installed, which so far come without any new features, the system reports in the start menu System → Info an installed Windows 10 22H2 (OS Build 19045.1806).
After installing KB5014666, to activate the packages to move to build 19045, the following commands must be entered through the console:

A “feature update” with no new features
After installing the packages, the new build 19045 and the switch to Windows 10 22H2 may be displayed in the system information.
However, no new features are expected as part of the official release. Even if the annual feature update is also due for Windows 10 with “22H2”, the new feature is completely reserved for Windows 11.
Focus is on Windows 11
Microsoft will quietly circulate the Windows 10 22H2 update via Windows Update, feature updates for the Windows 11 predecessor are no longer discussed at all on the internal program website.
