Music-Themed Action RPG AereA Returns to Consoles on September 3

Date:

AereA Brings Its Musical Fantasy Adventure to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S

SOEDESCO has announced that AereA, the music-inspired action RPG, will return to modern consoles on September 3, 2026. The title will launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, bringing its fantasy world, puzzle-solving mechanics, and musical combat system to a new generation of players.

Originally released by SOEDESCO in 2017, AereA represents the return of one of the publisher’s original intellectual properties to current gaming platforms. The updated console release includes improvements designed to enhance gameplay balance and provide a more refined adventure experience.

A Journey Through the Floating World of Aezir

Players Take on a Quest to Restore a Broken Island

Set in the fragmented floating world of Aezir, AereA follows the journey of one of Great Maestro Guido’s disciples. Players must recover nine primordial instruments scattered across the islands in order to restore harmony to a world damaged by mysterious events.

The adventure takes players across a variety of floating islands filled with quests, hidden secrets, puzzles, and challenging enemies. Throughout the journey, players will confront powerful bosses inspired by musical instruments while uncovering the forgotten history behind Aezir and its collapse.

The game combines action RPG elements with exploration and cooperative gameplay, offering players a fantasy experience built around the theme of music.

Updated Gameplay Features for Modern Consoles

Improved Balance and Enhanced Progression

The upcoming console version incorporates gameplay improvements introduced in the latest edition of AereA. Developers have adjusted character progression, enemy encounters, and boss battles to create a more balanced challenge.

These changes aim to provide a smoother experience for both returning players and newcomers discovering the game for the first time. The updated mechanics focus on making combat more engaging while maintaining the original musical identity of the adventure.

Key Features of AereA

  • Explore a hand-drawn fantasy world: Discover beautifully designed floating islands filled with mysteries and hidden locations.
  • Choose from four unique heroes: Each character features different abilities and playstyles, allowing players to approach challenges in their own way.
