A month after having handled the best offensive game of his career against Portland (62 points), Stephen Curry gave a new recital on the Dallas court, on the night of Saturday to Sunday. The Warriors leader scored 57 points, including eleven long-range shots, without managing to prevent the Warriors’ back (132-134).
“It was sublime, stressed his coach Steve Kerr despite the loss. He made extraordinary shots with disconcerting ease. He has never played so well, and we are talking about a two-time MVP and three-time champion. I’ve never seen him like this. He has always been an exceptional shooter, but he seems even stronger than before, a better finisher. In terms of sheer skill, what it does is almost unimaginable. “
Doncic has a respondent
Even if Curry was well supported by Draymond Green (15 assists, 6 interceptions), Dallas, who led most of the game, found a way out. The Texas franchise owes a lot to Luka Doncic, who equaled his career record (42 points) and delivered 11 assists, including a decisive final, for Maxi Kleber that ensured the Mavs’ success (134-132).
“Playing against Steph is always fun”Doncic reacted after this high-level duel. “A great game of basketballRick Carlisle, the Dallas coach, ruled. Curry and Doncic were amazing, both teams played with a lot of heart. It was great to see. “
Jokic breaks his record again
Another individual demonstration, another defeat: that of the Nuggets in Sacramento (114-119), despite the immense Nikola Jokic who accumulated 50 points (his record, less than a week after registering 47 units against Utah), 8 rebounds and 12 assists. The Serbian center took the game on his own, but the Kings held on and even ended up escaping early in the fourth quarter thanks to Harrison Barnes (28 points), before De’Aaron Fox (24 points) did not keep the distance. .
“Even more than his acting, it’s his mood that impresses me the mostJokic’s trainer Michael Malone reacted. I knew it was a very important game. He did his job. But he doesn’t care about his 50 points. We lost, and that’s all he’ll remember tonight. ” The Nuggets, who played without Jamal Murray, affected in the knee, thus suffer a third loss in four games.
