Numerous staff resign more than Skullgirls studio head’s actions

Date:

On July 3, Skullgirls developer Lab Zero Video games mentioned it would make a statement about guide designer Mike Zaimont, who had been accused of building inappropriate responses towards two men and women in the fighting sport community. That assertion never ever arrived, but according to several personnel, an internal investigation took location which uncovered a bigger pattern of inappropriate behavior from Zaimont. As a consequence of that investigation, at minimum 3 staff have resigned from Lab Zero.

Community criticism of Zaimont started in June after he used Eric Garner and George Floyd’s previous words and phrases as a joke on a livestream, which he apologized for and claimed was intended to draw interest to the Black Lives Issue movement, not mock it. At the conclusion of June, a different concern surfaced when design and Twitch streamer Bunny shared DMs from Zaimont that she felt were being “creepy” and “demeaning.”
