O2 affected by nationwide outage

Date:

Telekom and O2 customers have been reporting problems with their Internet, landline and mobile connections since midday. In the course of the afternoon, however, the situation calmed down remarkably.

Apparently around noon there were problems with Deutsche Telekom’s connections throughout Germany. This is suggested by the large number of reports on the allestoerungen.de portal.

There were no statements from Telekom. Other providers such as O2 have also seen a strong eruption in alle disturbances.de since late morning.

Although the Telekom reports had dropped again since the afternoon, the problem at O2 still seemed to exist. At least a higher than average number of crash reports continued to come into the portal. However, O2 itself did not report any outages across Germany either.

Annex of June 13, 2022, 3:00 p.m.: The situation at Telekom has eased. According to “alle disturbances.de”, the number of reported failures was significantly reduced. The situation in the O2 network is different. There, the number of reported failures has decreased somewhat, but remains at a high level.

Annex of June 13, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.: The situation has also eased on the O2 network. Although there are still more crash reports than usual, the trend is clearly decreasing.
