Rumors, leaks and guesswork are over, Capcom has confirmed a Resident Evil 4 remake. The release was even revealed in a first trailer.
Tokyo – What do you do when you create one of the best horror games of all time? Just take it out again. For years, die-hard Resident Evil fans have been waiting for a remake of the acclaimed fourth installment, and Capcom has finally given them what they want. At Sony’s latest State of Play, the developer unveiled a first trailer for Resident Evil 4 Remake. But that’s not all, even the release date is already set.

After the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, it was actually as sure as amen in church that part 4 would also get a makeover. The only question was when that would happen. After much speculation, it seemed pretty certain that Capcom would introduce the language later this year. It was unexpected that Resident Evil 4 took over the opening of State of Play on June 2, 2022. For fans of the series, the launch of the presentation with this trailer was quite a bombshell.
