A camera was discovered in the locker rooms of female employees at a Migros branch in Geneva. An employee who no longer works for the retailer had installed the device. Migros Geneva filed a criminal complaint.

The 32 female employees currently working at the Geneva-Cornavin branch have been informed of the incident and the possibility of reporting in person, a Migros Geneva spokeswoman told the Keystone-SDA news agency on Friday.

The camera was discovered by an employee in early June and was immediately removed. Migros then carried out an inspection together with the Geneva police at the branch premises. In the course of the investigation, the perpetrator could be identified. He was arrested and admitted to the crime. Meanwhile, Migros has fired the man.

According to Migros, 35 former employees of the branch may also have been victims of these events. All were contacted by email. Since the police investigation is still ongoing, Migros Geneva will not provide further details.
