Tablet folded in your pocket? Samsung boasted a dual curvature screen – SamsungMania.cz

Date:

Samsung virtually participated in the Display Week 2021 exhibition and showed the latest developments in OLED panels. The most interesting thing is the screen, which consists of more than double. Two hinges are included: the right folds the display in, the left out.

So if you fold the screen like a folder, you have a standard smartphone screen. When placed on a plane, you get the dimensions of a tablet with a 7.2-inch diagonal. Samsung also boasted a demo of a prototype with a retractable screen. When rolled out, the basic screen content remained the same, with shortcuts to the most frequently launched apps on the new part of the screen.

The manufacturer also showed the idea of a 17 “folding tablet. In the open state, the screen has an aspect ratio of 4: 3, but the imagination is limitless. Half of the screen could remain as a screen, the other they could be projected onto a touch QWERTY keyboard.

And if Samsung uses the same “laptop” hinge, you can turn a folding tablet into a laptop. For the first time, Samsung is integrating a subscreen selfie on the laptop screen. But soon i would she had a selfie on display to get even in the prepared puzzle Galaxy Z Fold 3.
