the company introduced a powerful supercomputer – Ministry of Finance

Date:

Tesla has created a computer that experts have sent to the fifth position in terms of power globally. It will be the predecessor to the Dojo supercomputer, which is still in development. LBLVreferring to the site Electrek.

In recent years, the company has focused on computing power. Powerful computing facilities are required to run software for the autonomous control of electric vehicles and to train neural networks, which receive a large amount of data coming from the vehicle fleet.

The company has been working on the Dojo supercomputer for several years. At the same time, the director of the corporation Elon Musk casually mentioned that the project called “Dojo” will be completed by the end of this year.

The other day, the head of Tesla’s artificial intelligence department, Andrey Karpati, introduced one of the supercomputers. He didn’t talk much about the Dojo, but noted that it will be the most powerful computer to be tuned to train neural networks, and it will be far more powerful than the current Tesla cluster.

LBLV recalls that Musk previously said that Tesla’s supercomputers would be available to other corporations, and could also work on neural network training.
