Well, yesterday I was able to get the first glimpse of Demon Slayer’s Season 2 on the new trailer, but on the way from CyberConnect2 I was able to see the first footage of the Demon Slayer video game. NARUTO fighting game.
And Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba-Hinogami Keputan, also known as Kimetsu no Yaiba: Judging from the video game footage, we want more of the same here. Check out the video below. Here, five fighters are shown in the game’s vs. mode.
It looks cool, especially the animation is very solid and clearly reflects the show in a nearly perfect way. However, I think many fans were expecting more from Kimetsu no Yaiba video games. The game here should have some sort of story element, but it’s a fighting game studio and seems to be primarily focused on that style of play. Fans who wanted a huge world to explore as a roaming demon slayer that kills the devil would be disappointed because it’s not just this.
My hope is that Demon Slayer will probably be able to get multiple games over time. Again, this franchise is absolutely huge, breaking the Japanese box office record of the latest movie and arriving at Netflix to attract Western fans. A great RPG style game seems to work easily in the series, but for now it doesn’t seem to be on the card. Things are still a long way off, as even this fighting game hasn’t had a release date yet.
Only 5 characters, 4 demon slayers, and 1 demon are displayed here, so when the game arrives, you’ll be interested in its complete roster. Given all the creative demons featured in the show, I would like to see some of them here, but some of them like those with all the drums in his body upside down the room. I don’t know how to do that. But man, that would be the hell of a boss fighting in an ARPG. That is my point.
Anyway, this is all we have for now, but over time we’ll see what’s more in the game. But I’m not expecting everything It It’s very different from past Naruto games from the same studio, as they seem to want to stick to what they know.
