This Android app steals your bank details

Google tries to verify Android apps that end up on the Play Store so that you don’t get malware on your smartphones and tablets. However, attackers always find new ways to bypass the protection mechanism. This is also the case with the QR code app, which has already recorded thousands of downloads and can steal your bank details and much more.

If you’re not sure, uninstall your QR code scanner app with this or a similar name and just install another app from the Play Store, which should probably be safe.

If you have an antivirus program installed on your smartphone or tablet, you should not feel safe.
