It means another 1,040 people tested positive on Sunday, August 16, 2020.
These are the figures for the North West
In the North West today (Monday, August 17, 2020), there has been a total of 49,904 confirmed cases since testing began, an increase of 200 since the last data update.
There are currently 138 people in the region’s hospitals who are being treated for COVID-19, including 18 on ventilation.
