This problem has been compounded by the fact that many now buy consoles only to sell them for profit.
Unfortunately, many of them now use robots online to order controllers in bulk.
A Scalping network called Carnage claimed to have successfully purchased 2,000 PS5 consoles from GAME in a now-deleted tweet on Tuesday, January 19.

Scalping is an issue affecting the latest PlayStation console, as we discovered in November.
GAME said it continues to monitor the situation and makes sure its policy is followed for each customer.
To talk to video game A GAME spokesperson said: “Demand for the PlayStation 5 remains very high and this demand far exceeds the current supply.
“We have robust procedures in place to ensure a ‘1 per customer’ statement is maintained to allow as many individual customers as possible to purchase as successfully as possible.
All pre-orders are subject to automatic checks and order updates, such as cancellations after these checks after the customer has received a valid order confirmation email.
“At the moment, these orders are still pre-ordered, so no payment has been made to customers. Payments will begin as soon as the order verifications are completed. “
PlayStation 5 shares have been a problem since the UK launch in November, and demand for shares is currently much higher around the world.
Sony previously announced the availability of millions of additional consoles in the UK throughout the year, but due to the pandemic there was a major shortage.
