The ship that blocked Suez is also in Microsoft Flight Simulator and is a realistic sight – Živě.cz

Date:

In addition to the official “World Update” packages, Microsoft Flight Simulator can also be expanded with “mods”. One of the enthusiasts added the container ship Ever Given, which blocked the Suez Canal for almost a week, to the game.

A user acting under the nickname donut_enforcement, posted on the social network TikTok MS Flight Simulator video, in which a small passenger plane flies over the incriminated area. The comment mimics a pilot alerting passengers to the Suez Canal on the left and a stuck ship: “They seem to have a big problem!” This is followed by a flight around a very realistic model.

Video shared by Mat Velloso – Technical Advisor to Microsoft CEO Satyay Nadella:

The scene looks surprisingly realistic, proving both the quality of the model and the visual capabilities and customization options of the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator. Unfortunately, the mod is not publicly available, so there is no way to test it with your own eyes (based on the information I know, if I’m wrong, I’ll be happy to fix it in the discussion).
