Square Enix recently announced the opening in London of its new studio dedicated entirely to mobile game development. Called Square Enix London Mobile, the studio currently has two projects in the works (including Tomb Raider Reloaded), an action roguelike scheduled for 2022 and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
This is what we can read in a release shared by the Japanese publisher:
“As a new team formed at Square Enix headquarters in London, we will find the best independent development studios from around the world with whom we will partner to create high-quality free mobile games. We couldn’t be happier with the first two projects we’re working on: Tomb Raider Reloaded, coming in 2022, and a new game set in the Avatar universe: The Last Airbender. Both games are in development and we hope to share more details soon. “
The London studio is currently looking for its technical and creative directors. The two positions will be distanced at first (due to Covid-19), and then they will have to be occupied in the English capital …
