Microsoft has released an update for Windows 10 with KB5010415. And that even brings two new features to Windows 10 and a host of improvements and bug fixes. However, the update does not close any security holes.

Once KB5010415 is installed, cookies can be shared between “Microsoft Edge Internet Explorer Mode” and the Microsoft Edge browser. This should increase compatibility. Also new is support for adding and removing namespaces for non-volatile memory (NVMe) on the fly.

How to get the update
KB5010415 is still in preview status and therefore interested Windows 10 users need to install it manually. You can do this in Windows settings under “Update and security, Windows Update, Available optional updates”.
Alternatively, you can also download the update from the Microsoft Update Catalog here.
However, on the next patch day in March 2022, KB5010415 should be included by default and then automatically installed on all compatible Windows 10 computers.

You can install KB5010415 on machines running Windows 10 version 20H2 or Windows 10 version 21H1 or Windows 10 version 21H2. As an alternative, you can of course also upgrade to Windows 11, as long as your PC hardware is compatible with the new version. Please note, however,
