At gamescom 2022, Samsung will show both the Odyssey Ark gaming monitor, which we already reported about, as well as the other two Odyssey G70B and G65B models. According to the South Korean manufacturer, these are the first two models in the Odyssey series to have access to both the internal game center and Samsung’s smart platform. Consequently, the two screens could also connect to all sorts of other end devices and services without a PC. Wireless connections to Windows PCs and Macs are also possible. Especially since the monitors even offer Apple AirPlay 2.
Access to Microsoft 365 is also possible directly through the monitors. Apps for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other streaming providers are also on board. Here, Samsung combines a smart TV and a monitor, so to speak. Fittingly, far-field voice microphones are built in to work with digital assistants like Amazon Alexa and Bixby. If you want, you can activate the always-on voice function, then the screens will listen even when the monitor is turned off.
The Samsung Odyssey G70B is available in 28″ and 32″ diagonals, 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms (GtG) response time, and IPS panel and UHD resolution. The monitor is Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium ready. Pro.
The Samsung Odyssey G65B is available with 27-inch and 32-inch diagonals, 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms (GtG) response time, QHD resolution, 1000R curvature, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Nvidia GeForce Now, Google Stadia, and the Xbox app are available directly on both devices through the Samsung Gaming Hub. Samsung plans to provide prices and release dates for the gaming monitors at a later date.
