Black Desert players have a major reveal to look forward to as developer Pearl Abyss has released a teaser for the game’s next playable class ahead of Heidel Ball, its annual global community event. At the same time, the ongoing Terrmian Festival continues to introduce limited-time activities, world bosses, and exclusive rewards for players.
New Playable Class Teased Before Heidel Ball
Pearl Abyss released a new teaser video introducing a mysterious gun-wielding character named Eddie, offering players an early glimpse of the next class coming to Black Desert.
The teaser follows Eddie on a mission to rescue his sister while showcasing the character’s distinctive firearm and hinting at his personality and backstory. Although the video reveals little about gameplay, it provides the first look at what appears to be a ranged combat specialist joining the MMORPG.
The studio confirmed that additional details—including the class’s official name, combat mechanics, abilities, and full gameplay presentation—will be unveiled during Heidel Ball, which is scheduled to take place next week.
Terrmian Festival Continues With New Activities
Winged Mermaid World Boss Arrives
While players await Heidel Ball, the seasonal Terrmian Festival is expanding with new challenges at Terrmian Beach.
A new World Boss known as the Winged Mermaid now appears twice daily, giving Adventurers opportunities to earn a variety of in-game rewards.
Players who defeat the boss can receive items including:
- Terrmian Dice Box
- 50 Cron Stones
- Gold Bar 100G
- Additional event rewards
Lucky participants also have a chance to earn bonus prizes, including a Box of 1,000 Cron Stones and a Gold Bar 1,000G.
Fishing Event Offers Rare Ocean Treasures
The arrival of the Winged Mermaid has also introduced powerful whirlwinds that reveal hidden treasures beneath the sea.
Players fishing during the event can obtain an Event Rare Ocean Treasure Bundle, which may contain rewards such as Gold Bar 100G, Crow Coins, Ravinia’s Moss Remover, and other useful items.
Rare drops include premium treasures like the Gold Bar 10,000G, Golden Ghost Whale, Golden Turtle Shell, Moss-Covered Map, and additional collectible items.
Treasure Hunt Leads to Hidden Ocean Rewards
Collect Treasure Map Pieces
Players can combine Ravinia’s Moss Remover with the Moss-Covered Map through the game’s Simple Alchemy system to create Torn Treasure Map Pieces.
Collecting all nine pieces unlocks the Treasure Map of a Sailor, which guides Adventurers to a hidden treasure chest located deep beneath the ocean, adding another long-term objective to the seasonal event.
Special Heidel Ball Preparation Buffs Available
Ahead of Heidel Ball, players can also visit the Heidel Fountain to complete event quests that reward the Event An Adventurer’s Tome.
Equipping the tome grants several temporary bonuses, including:
- Monster Damage Reduction +10
- 10% increased Item Drop Rate
- Experience point boosts
- Additional gameplay benefits
These buffs are intended to help players prepare for upcoming content while making the most of the ongoing festival activities.
Black Desert Continues to Expand
Pearl Abyss continues to support Black Desert with regular seasonal events, new classes, and major community updates through Heidel Ball, one of the game’s largest annual showcases.
According to the developer, the Black Desert franchise has attracted more than 55 million players worldwide across PC, consoles, and mobile platforms, making it one of the most widely played MMORPG franchises currently available.
Looking Ahead to Heidel Ball
With a new playable class waiting to be fully revealed and the Terrmian Festival offering fresh bosses, treasure hunts, and event rewards, Black Desert players have several new activities to explore before Heidel Ball takes center stage next week. The upcoming event is expected to provide additional announcements about the game’s future content and gameplay updates.
