Port of Jumanah Brings Arabian-Inspired Underwater Roguelite Adventure to PC and PS5

Date:

Port of Jumanah, an underwater roguelite adventure inspired by the pearl-diving traditions of the Arabian Peninsula, is set to launch September 7, 2026. Developed by Red Dunes Games and Agate, the game will be available for PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 5.

Underwater Adventure Blends Roguelite Combat and Exploration

Port of Jumanah combines fast-paced 2.5D roguelite combat with underwater exploration, fantasy storytelling and a colorful cast of characters.

Players take control of Mansour, a carefree pearl diver whose routine expedition takes an unexpected turn after he opens a mysterious Black Giant Clam. The discovery unleashes a series of problems beneath the sea, sending Mansour on a larger journey to restore order.

Central to the adventure are mysterious black pearls that players must recover as they explore different underwater regions.

The game’s setting draws heavily from the historic pearl-diving traditions of the Arabian Peninsula, incorporating those cultural influences into a fictional world filled with supernatural creatures, unusual encounters and lighthearted humor.

Players Build Their Loadout Before Each Dive

As a roguelite, Port of Jumanah requires players to prepare before heading beneath the waves.

Players can choose weapons, gadgets and crew members to create a loadout suited to each expedition. Combat takes place in real time, with different challenges waiting throughout the game’s underwater environments.

Each region concludes with a confrontation against a powerful guardian, adding major combat encounters to the progression structure.

Returning to Port Opens New Quests and Stories

Not all of the action takes place underwater. Mansour regularly returns to port, which serves as a hub where players can discover additional stories, complete quests and prepare for another dive.

The structure creates a cycle of preparation, exploration, combat and return trips as players gradually progress through the adventure.

Along the way, Mansour encounters an eclectic group of characters, including a formidable female pirate, a wise old turtle, an unusually wealthy girl and a playful genie with a habit of teasing those around him.

Port of Jumanah Includes Six Hours of Main Adventure

Red Dunes Games and Agate estimate that the main adventure will offer about six hours of gameplay.

Players seeking more content will also find additional challenges aimed at completionists. Side activities include rescuing frogs scattered throughout the adventure, providing another objective beyond the primary search for the black pearls.

Key Features of Port of Jumanah

The game features a fantasy world inspired by Arabian Peninsula pearl-diving traditions, fast-paced underwater roguelite combat and multiple regions with powerful guardians.

Players can customize their equipment before dives using different weapons, gadgets and crew members. Returning to port allows them to complete quests, uncover character stories and prepare for subsequent expeditions.

The adventure also mixes its central storyline with optional challenges and collectibles, including the opportunity to rescue frogs.

Agate and Red Dunes Games Collaborate on the Project

Agate International is an Indonesian game development company headquartered in Bandung. Founded in 2009, the studio has worked on games across Android, iOS, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Steam.

According to the company, its teams have contributed to more than 250 games and worked with more than 200 clients worldwide.

Port of Jumanah Launches September 7

Port of Jumanah is scheduled to arrive September 7, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

By combining underwater roguelite combat with a fantasy setting influenced by the Arabian Peninsula’s pearl-diving heritage, the game offers its own take on the genre, centered on Mansour’s search for six mysterious pearls and his journey to save the sea.
