A new Call of Duty in development for iPhone

Date:

Activision has created a new team entirely dedicated to developing a new Call of Duty for mobile devices.

The enormous success of Call of Duty Mobile has visibly encouraged publisher Activision-Blizzard to invest in the development of a new mobile game in the universe of the franchise. Activision just opened a new studio entirely dedicated to mobile licensing. The first title to be developed internally will be a triple-A game, a name that denotes big-budget projects, in the franchise universe.

On its site, Activision Mobile is recruiting several profiles specializing in mobile game development, suggesting that the project has just been launched and could take a few months, or even years, to see the light of day.

The putting into production of a new shutter on the mobile does not necessarily condemn the original. In fact, Activision-Blizzard could very well decide to maintain two different communities by adopting different approaches for each of their games with, on the one hand, an episode dedicated to multiplayer and, on the other, an episode that could be single player, for example. or cooperation.

The previous episode of the franchise had been developed externally by TiMi Studios, a subsidiary of the Chinese group Tencent.
