Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have released a playable Steam demo for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, giving PC players an early look at the upcoming survival-horror action game before its October 8, 2026 launch. A new “Scarlet Church” trailer has also been released, introducing one of the central groups players will encounter in the game.
Hellraiser: Revival Demo Now Available on Steam
The demo covers an early portion of the original Hellraiser story and introduces players to the Labyrinth, an unstable hellscape filled with supernatural threats.
Players will encounter the Scarlet Church, a cult that has obtained the Genesis Configuration, a mysterious puzzle box at the center of the conflict.
The playable section also introduces major characters while providing an overview of the game’s core mechanics, including combat, crafting and puzzle-solving.
Progress made in the Steam demo will not carry over to the full game when it launches.
New Scarlet Church Trailer Introduces Marlowe
Alongside the demo, Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games released a new trailer focused on the Scarlet Church. The footage was featured during Fantastic Fest at Alamo Drafthouse.
Marlowe Seeks the Genesis Configuration
The trailer provides a closer look at Marlowe, one of the game’s primary antagonists, and the cult he leads.
Known as the Scarlet Church, the organization includes priests, cultists and other followers pursuing the supernatural temptations associated with Hell.
Marlowe’s objective centers on obtaining the Genesis Configuration for his own purposes, placing his group directly in the player’s path.
The developers have released both standard and red-band versions of the Scarlet Church trailer.
Survival Horror Story Expands the Hellraiser Universe
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is positioned as an original story within the Hellraiser universe rather than a direct adaptation of one of the existing films.
The game combines survival horror with action, exploration and environmental puzzles. Players will move through shifting nightmare environments while confronting human enemies and supernatural dangers.
The new demo provides an early introduction to those systems while establishing the conflict surrounding the Genesis Configuration.
Hellraiser: Revival Launches October 8
The full game is scheduled to launch October 8, 2026, on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
The standard edition is available for pre-order for $39.99, while a digital Deluxe Edition is priced at $49.99.
Players who pre-order either version will receive two cosmetic items at launch: the Labyrinth Pistol Skin and Martyr Sawblade Skin.
Collector’s Editions Also Available
Two special Collector’s Editions are also being offered with officially licensed physical collectibles.
According to the publishers, Collector’s Edition pre-orders include the content offered with the Deluxe Edition as well as the standard pre-order bonuses.
Specific contents vary between the available Collector’s Edition packages.
Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games Lead Development
The project is being released by Saber Interactive in partnership with Boss Team Games.
Saber’s portfolio includes Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, World War Z, SnowRunner, RoadCraft and several upcoming licensed projects.
Boss Team Games previously worked on Evil Dead: The Game and the RetroRealms series featuring properties including Halloween and Ash vs Evil Dead.
The Hellraiser video game rights are licensed to Lament GameCo by Clive Barker and Park Avenue Entertainment.
With the Steam demo now available, PC players can experience the opening portion of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival before the full survival-horror game arrives across PC and current-generation consoles on October 8.
