Japanese developer and publisher Piisu Inc. has confirmed that Fish Them All!, a pixel-art incremental fishing game, will launch on Steam on 8 December 2026. The game challenges players to catch 100 million fish through a combination of fishing, upgrades and automated abilities, with an estimated completion time of four to five hours.
The title will be available for Windows and macOS, with Steam Deck support and 14 language options, including English. A free demo is already available, allowing players to experience the opening stages before release.
Fish Them All! Confirms December 2026 Steam Release Date
Piisu Inc. announced the release date alongside a new trailer showcasing how the game’s fishing mechanics evolve as players progress.
The approximately 40-second trailer begins with basic fishing, where players catch individual fish using a hook lowered from a boat.
As the game advances, additional abilities and automated fishing systems become available, allowing players to collect increasingly large numbers of fish.
Eventually, divers, drones and UFOs join the fishing operation, transforming small catches into large-scale hauls.
Fish Them All! will launch at a price of US$5.99, with regional pricing applicable to UK customers and other markets.
Free Steam Demo Offers 30–40 Minutes of Gameplay
Players interested in trying the game can download a free demo through Steam.
The demo provides approximately 30 to 40 minutes of gameplay and introduces the main fishing and progression mechanics.
Players can also unlock two abilities during the trial:
-
Divers: Automated helpers that catch fish without direct player control.
-
Explosion: An ability that clears entire schools of fish at once.
The demo is intended to demonstrate how the game’s incremental progression works before the full release.
Catch 100 Million Fish Through Upgrades and Automation
The central objective of Fish Them All! is to catch every one of the 100 million fish in the sea.
Players begin with a simple fishing hook, catching fish individually before using their earnings to purchase upgrades.
Each fishing session lasts approximately 60 seconds, creating a series of short gameplay cycles.
After completing a run, players can invest their earnings in a Skill Tree that improves fishing efficiency.
Skill Tree Upgrades Increase Fishing Capacity
The upgrade system allows players to improve several abilities, including movement speed, hook size and the number of fish caught simultaneously.
As these upgrades accumulate, the number of fish collected per run increases substantially.
What begins as catching one fish at a time eventually develops into hauls of 10, 100 and even 1,000 fish.
This progression forms the foundation of the game’s incremental mechanics, with each upgrade helping players move closer to the 100 million fish target.
Divers, Drones and UFOs Introduce Automated Fishing
As players expand the Skill Tree, they can unlock additional methods of collecting fish.
Divers automatically gather fish, while drones move rapidly across the screen to increase the catch.
UFOs introduce another mechanic by using beams to collect entire groups of fish simultaneously.
These automated systems can operate alongside the player’s fishing activities, allowing several methods of collecting fish to function together.
The Explosion ability adds another option, enabling players to remove large schools of fish with a single action.
Ghost Cast Lets Players Fish Alongside Previous Runs
The full game also introduces a mechanic called Ghost Cast.
This feature creates ghost versions of previous fishing runs, allowing players’ past movements to be replayed alongside their current attempts.
Translucent boats and hooks follow earlier routes, collecting additional fish while the player continues fishing.
The mechanic adds another layer to the game’s progression system by allowing previous efforts to contribute to current catches.
Pixel-Art Fish Feature Different Behaviours and Abilities
Fish Them All! includes a variety of aquatic creatures with distinct characteristics.
New fish become available as players unlock additional skills, changing the types of creatures appearing in the sea.
Among the featured creatures are teleporting sea urchins, squid capable of sudden bursts of speed and ocean sunfish that move slowly through the water.
These behaviours introduce variation as players work towards their overall target.
The game uses colourful pixel-art graphics, animated characters and a streamlined interface designed around short gameplay sessions.
A results screen tracks the number of fish remaining, providing a visible measure of progress towards the 100 million target.
