Google Maps Home Blur: How to Blur Your House on Google Maps and Why You Should

Date:

Street View is probably one of the most useful services out there, as it allows you to navigate to any address in the world and see the content of the street at street level. However, Street View can show more than you want, or generally present a part of your home that you don’t want to be seen for your own reasons.

A few years ago, a woman moved into a new home to escape an abusive husband, who finally managed to find out exactly where she was staying via Street View, as mashable points out. Whatever the reason, you can ask Google to blur your home from Google Maps.

  • First we go to Google Maps and enter our address
  • Then after entering the Street View mode by dragging the yellow man from the lower right side to the address where we live, we put the screen showing our house and went down to the small print and hit the report of a problem.
  • Center the red box in your house and choose what you want to blur. My Home in this case and the reason you want to do it. Enter the email address and enter your request.

A simple trick makes the iPhone fly again!
