Guerrero communities threaten to arm children if the authorities do not guarantee them safety, health and education

Residents and members of the Community police Township Jose Joaquin de Herrera, located in the Central Region of Guerrero, threatened to arm women and children if state and federal authorities do not guarantee security, education and health conditions.

This Thursday, the inhabitants of the communities of Amatitlan, The snail Y The pines they met in Ayahualtempa, where some 500 people marched led by the Community police, to demand the departure of the Municipal Police, which they accuse of being in collusion with the criminal group “Los Ardillos”.

Protesters gathered at the multipurpose court of Ayahualtempa and from there they left for the federal highway Chilapa-José Joaquín de Herrera, stopping at the module of the Municipal police.

At a rally, the member of the Community council, Luis Morales Rojas, presented the minors who will be armed if the authorities do not respond to their demands within the next eight days. There were 25 children who were present, but the organization assured that there will be 70 who will join its ranks, in case they fail to establish, at least, a dialogue table with the Government.

“We are going to rise up in arms, boys, and girls and ladies, we have already thought about it, because the Government has already been for two years that there is nothing, it has deceived us, for security, for health and education, those are the main needs that we have ”, expressed Luis Morales.

According to the protesters, their demands are that the National Guard assume the vigilance of the communities, that the facilities of the health centers are improved and medicines and trained personnel are sent; as well as that dignified classrooms are built in basic education schools, where they also need teachers.
