Halloween: The Game Adds Free Tower Farm Map, New Michael Myers Skins and Paid DLC in First Major Update

Date:

Halloween: The Game has received its first post-launch content update, introducing a free multiplayer map called Tower Farm alongside new Michael Myers skins, playable civilian characters, and Halloween-themed costumes. Released on October 27, 2026, the update expands the asymmetrical horror game’s environments while adding optional paid downloadable content.

Developer and publisher IllFonic, working with co-publisher Gun Interactive and partners Compass International Pictures and Further Front, announced the update as part of its ongoing support for the multiplayer survival horror title.

The new content is available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, where the game is sold through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Halloween: The Game Introduces Free Tower Farm Map Inspired by Halloween 5

The centerpiece of the update is Tower Farm, the game’s fifth multiplayer map, which is available at no additional cost to existing players.

Inspired by Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, the new location moves the game’s 1-versus-4 survival horror encounters away from suburban neighborhoods and into a rural farming community near Haddonfield.

The change introduces a different environment for both Michael Myers and the civilians attempting to survive his attacks.

Rural Environment Changes Multiplayer Survival Strategies

Tower Farm features country roads, open fields, farmhouses, barns, and storage sheds.

A gas station serves as a recognizable landmark, while roadside ditches provide potential hiding places for civilians attempting to avoid Michael Myers.

Unlike suburban maps with closely spaced houses, the rural setting includes exposed areas where players may be easier to spot while moving between locations.

Hay bales, farming equipment, and overgrown vegetation provide additional cover and opportunities for surprise attacks.

The map also includes a harvest festival, trailer park, and pumpkin patches, creating a seasonal setting beneath a sunset sky.

These environmental differences are intended to influence how players navigate the map and approach encounters.

IllFonic Highlights Free Halloween Content

“There’s no better time than Halloween to send Michael somewhere new,” said Jared Gerritzen, Chief Creative Officer, IllFonic. “The new map is open, eerie, and free for every player who owns the game. Grab your friends, find a ditch, and pray Michael doesn’t find you!”

The developer describes Tower Farm as the first of several planned post-launch content additions.

Two New Michael Myers Skins Available as Paid DLC

Alongside the free map, IllFonic has introduced two optional cosmetic packs featuring different versions of Michael Myers.

Each skin is priced at $9.99.

The available designs are based on Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers and Halloween (2018).

Both additions allow players to customize the appearance of the franchise’s central antagonist while retaining the game’s established multiplayer format.

Halloween 2018 Mask Design Receives Special Attention

The 2018-inspired Michael Myers skin incorporates a mask design supervised by Academy Award-winning artist Christopher Nelson.

Nelson previously designed masks for Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills (2021), and Halloween Ends (2022).

His involvement connects the downloadable cosmetic to the visual design established in the more recent Halloween film trilogy.

New Civilian Characters and Halloween Costume Pack Released

The update also expands the game’s civilian customization options with additional paid downloadable content.

A new Civilian Characters Pack introduces two playable characters, Michelle and Eugene.

The pack costs $9.99 and includes both characters.

Players can also purchase Civilian Costumes Pack 1 for $9.99.

Costume Pack Includes 14 Outfits and 42 Color Variations

The Halloween-themed costume collection contains 14 outfits, with one outfit available for each character.

It also includes 42 color variations, giving players additional appearance customization options.

These cosmetics provide seasonal alternatives to the game’s existing character designs.

The new characters and costumes are separate from the free Tower Farm map, meaning players must purchase the relevant DLC packs to access them.

Free Gameplay Improvements Accompany the Content Update

In addition to the new map and paid cosmetic content, IllFonic has included free features, fixes, and quality-of-life improvements.

The announcement confirms that these adjustments are part of the update but does not provide a detailed list of individual technical changes.

The developer plans to continue supporting Halloween: The Game with additional content following its launch.

Players can follow the game’s official social media channels for information about future maps, cosmetics, and other additions.

Halloween: The Game Pricing and Platform Availability

Halloween: The Game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The game is offered in two editions:

Edition Price
Digital Standard Edition $39.99
Digital Deluxe Edition $59.99

The title supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese.

It carries an ESRB Mature 17+ rating.

Tower Farm Marks the Beginning of Halloween: The Game’s Post-Launch Updates

The arrival of Tower Farm gives Halloween: The Game players a new rural environment for its asymmetrical multiplayer encounters, while the paid DLC introduces additional character and cosmetic options.

With a free fifth map, two Michael Myers skins, new civilians, and seasonal costumes, the update represents the first stage of IllFonic’s planned post-launch support.

Further additions are expected as development continues, with the latest content available now across supported platforms.
