Hamburg – The man is cool: Erwin (86) can do online banking, likes to watch videos on YouTube and is now a TikTok star too.
How did this happen?
His geriatric nurse Rashid (29) wanted to advertise his ambulatory nursing service on social media and immediately thought of Erwin: “He’s funny, he’s in a good mood, we always laugh.”

He explains to the retiree what TikTok is. And Erwin? He’s immediately enthusiastic: “I look forward to every visit from Rashid, and every video,” in which the former professional soldier philosophizes about love, cosmetic surgeries for women, or just jokes around.
It goes very well with users. After two months they have with their account”care.smile“Almost 50,000 followers on TikTok! 100,000 is your goal.
If Erwin wobbles a bit, Rashid will help him out.
Heartwarming: It can’t be overlooked that the two are now best friends too. Erwin: “We have agreed to make a phone call every day. Also on Sundays on the day off.”
So that Rashid knows that everything is fine: “We talk about all kinds of things, I learn a lot from him.”
Rashid or one of his employees comes to Erwin in the morning and in the evening from Monday to Saturday. Main task: put on and take off socks.
They already have almost 50,000 followers on their “pflege.smile” TikTok account.
By the way: the smart retiree has a girlfriend across the street. “He is 91 years old and cooks very well,” he enthuses. They met at church six years ago.
Rashid laughs: “Just before date night, he always tells us which way to go to take our socks off.”
