The new free-to-play platform battle game Multi Versus of Warner Bros Games Y Player’s first games starts today in open beta, at least in the US, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Players in these regions can now download MultiVersus on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, with full cross-play support and dedicated server-based rollback netcode for strong online competition.

MultiVersus brings together a variety of popular heroes and personalities to team up or face off in epic battles including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny and the Tasmanian Devil, aka Taz (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom and Jerry (Tom and Jerry); Jake the dog and Finn the human (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe); Iron Giant (The Iron Giant); LeBron James (Space Jam: A New Legacy); Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith (Rick and Morty); an extraordinary original creature named Reindog; and many more will follow.
Each fighter comes equipped with a set of combat mechanics that characterize the game’s new 2v2 gameplay, with a strong focus on cooperative play. This allows fighters to boast customizable combat moves that can be dynamically combined with other characters as they battle for dominance. From Wonder Woman and her Lasso of Truth attack, which unexpectedly combines with Shaggy and her sandwich projectile, to Arya Stark’s face-swapping ability that complements Superman’s laser vision, the impossible can become possible through surprising combinations and team clashes.
Players have a variety of ways to experience MultiVersus, including team-based 2v2 cooperative matches, 1v1 matches, 1-player free-for-all, and cooperative matches for up to four players. Founder’s Pack
MultiVersus Founder’s Packs are currently available for purchase through standard, deluxe and premium editions and contain different levels of game content. More information is available at MultiVersus.com/Founders Pack. A Pre-Season Battle Pass is also currently available, allowing players to complete challenges and unlock in-game rewards.
There is a free option open to all players and a premium option that requires an in-game purchase to participate. The Pre-Season Battle Pass is available now through August 8, followed by a full Season 1 Battle Pass on August 9. All player progress and unlocked rewards are retained for the life of the game.
