No more driverless cars on the streets; By 2023, five percent of taxis will be driverless.

TOThe Dubai Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) says that five percent of taxis in Dubai will be converted to autonomous vehicles in the next two years. The RTA has said that by 2030, 4,000 taxis will operate driverless on Dubai’s roads. Informed.

This is indicated in the Dubai Taxi Corporation plan for the year 2021-2023. President Mathar Mohammed Al Thayer said that Dubai has decided to offer an unparalleled travel experience in the taxi sector.

He added that the taxi sector will be completely dismantled using cutting-edge technology such as artificial intelligence and smart systems.

By 2023, 5% of taxis will be autonomous and 56% of vehicles will be green. The company has signed a contract with the cruise company backed by the American company General Motors for a taxi service without a driver.
