Indie publisher and developer Abylight Studios has officially released One Military Camp on Nintendo Switch 2, bringing its strategy and base-building gameplay to Nintendo’s latest console platform.
Originally launched on PC, the management simulator combines military base construction, squad training, and tactical mission planning with a lighthearted tone inspired by classic simulation games. The new Switch 2 version includes the complete game experience, along with updated controls optimized for Nintendo’s hybrid console.
Strategy and Base Building Arrive on Nintendo Switch 2
Released May 28, 2026, One Military Camp allows players to build and oversee a military headquarters while managing resources, infrastructure, and personnel.
Players recruit soldiers, train specialized units, and send teams on missions into hostile territory. The game can be played in both handheld and docked modes on Nintendo Switch 2.
According to Abylight Studios, the console edition includes all major content updates previously released for PC players. That includes the full story campaign, Sandbox Mode, and every biome added post-launch.

The release also includes expanded customization options and a redesigned control scheme adapted for mouse-style functionality on the new console hardware.
The game supports multiple languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Thai, and Catalan.
Inspired by Classic Management Simulation Games
Humor and References Drive the Experience
While centered around military operations, One Military Camp takes a comedic and non-violent approach to gameplay. The title features humor and pop culture references inspired by classic movies and video games rather than realistic warfare.
Abylight says the project draws inspiration from well-known management and strategy titles such as Theme Hospital, the Anno series, and Hogs of War.
That mix of resource management and comedic presentation places the game closer to classic simulation titles popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s than to modern military shooters.
Abylight Continues Expanding Its Indie Portfolio
Based in Barcelona, Spain, Abylight Studios has built a reputation for retro-inspired and independent games across consoles and mobile platforms.
The studio’s previous releases include Cursed Castilla, Super Hydorah, Citadelum, Exographer, Anoxia Station, and Hyper Light Drifter: Special Edition for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
The company describes its development philosophy as focusing on gameplay systems, attention to detail, and accessible fun for players across multiple platforms.
Nintendo Switch 2 Gains Another Strategy Title
The launch of One Military Camp adds another management and simulation game to the growing Nintendo Switch 2 library as publishers continue supporting the platform with both indie and major studio releases.
For players interested in strategy games that emphasize creativity, resource management, and humor over combat realism, One Military Camp offers a full-featured portable experience with content parity alongside the PC version.
