Satisfactory: The Board Game, a tabletop adaptation of Coffee Stain Studios’ factory-building video game, will launch its crowdfunding campaign on October 13, 2026, bringing the series’ industrial construction and resource-management concepts to a new format.
Coffee Stain Publishing, MOOD Publishing and Coffee Stain Studios announced the campaign plans following the board game’s recent reveal. Players who follow the project before the crowdfunding launch will also be eligible for an exclusive first-player marker tied to the campaign.
Satisfactory Board Game Crowdfunding Begins October 13
The crowdfunding campaign will be hosted on Gamefound, where interested players can follow the project ahead of its October launch.
The tabletop game is based on Satisfactory, Coffee Stain Studios’ factory simulation game built around exploration, resource collection, automation and increasingly complex production systems.
The board game will translate elements of that experience into tabletop mechanics, giving players another way to engage with the factory-building concept outside the original video game.
As part of the pre-launch campaign, players who follow Satisfactory: The Board Game on Gamefound between now and October 13 will receive a FICSIT Cup 1st Player Marker at no additional cost with their pledge.
Metal FICSIT Cup Replaces Standard First-Player Token
The FICSIT Cup 1st Player Marker is designed as a metal replacement for the board game’s standard first-player token.
Its functional purpose is to identify which participant begins each round, while its design draws directly from the fictional FICSIT organization central to the Satisfactory universe.
The promotion gives early followers an additional collectible component while maintaining a practical role during gameplay.
Players following the campaign will also be able to contribute to the creation of a Space Elevator miniature. The Space Elevator is one of the most recognizable structures from the original Satisfactory video game, where it plays an important role in progression and large-scale production objectives.
Factory Simulation Moves From Video Games to Tabletop
Adapting Satisfactory into a board game presents a different design challenge from the digital version, which allows players to construct sprawling automated factories across a large open environment.
The original game centers on gathering resources and designing increasingly efficient production networks. Players build machines, conveyor systems and infrastructure while expanding industrial operations and working toward larger objectives.
A tabletop adaptation must condense those systems into mechanics that can function around a physical game table while retaining the strategic planning associated with the franchise.
Crowdfunding Campaign Targets Existing Satisfactory Community
The Gamefound campaign provides Coffee Stain Publishing, MOOD Publishing and Coffee Stain Studios with a direct way to reach the established Satisfactory player community as well as tabletop gaming audiences.
Crowdfunding has become a common route for modern board game releases, particularly projects involving established video game properties. Campaigns can allow publishers to measure demand while offering specialized components, miniatures and other additions to early supporters.
For Satisfactory: The Board Game, the FICSIT Cup promotion is specifically tied to users who follow the campaign before its formal launch.
Coffee Stain Expands Satisfactory Beyond the Original Game
The tabletop project represents another expansion of the Satisfactory property beyond its core factory-building gameplay.
Coffee Stain Studios developed the original title, while Coffee Stain Publishing and MOOD Publishing are participating in bringing the board game adaptation to market.
The companies announced the crowdfunding plans from Skövde, Sweden, where Coffee Stain Studios is based.
The campaign’s launch will provide more details about how the tabletop version recreates the production, planning and industrial expansion that define the video game.
With crowdfunding scheduled to begin October 13, Satisfactory: The Board Game is preparing to turn the franchise’s factory-management formula into a physical strategy experience, complete with recognizable elements such as the FICSIT Cup and Space Elevator.
