The adventure is designed with younger players and families in mind, with colorful environments and accessible gameplay built around exploration, collectibles and puzzle-solving.
Four Worlds Bring Dr. Seuss Locations to Life
The game’s 23 levels are spread across four distinct worlds inspired by locations associated with the Grinch.
Explore Who-ville, Mt. Crumpit, Who Wood and the Grinch’s Cave
Players will visit the snow-covered streets of Who-ville and the icy slopes of Mt. Crumpit, along with Who Wood, which features springy mushrooms and other platforming obstacles.
The Grinch’s Cave provides another environment to explore, featuring waterfalls and additional challenges.
Each area contains its own platforming sequences and hidden collectibles, encouraging players to explore beyond the main route as they search for the decorations needed to complete Who-ville’s Christmas tree.
Grinchy Gadgets Add New Platforming Abilities
The gameplay trailer also highlights several gadgets that the Grinch can use to navigate levels and deal with enemies.
Rocket Skates allow players to move quickly through environments, while a Jetpack can carry the Grinch over hazards and otherwise inaccessible areas.
The Snowball Maker provides another useful tool, allowing players to freeze troublesome enemies. The Grinch also carries his candy cane throughout the adventure.
Together, the gadgets are designed to provide different approaches to obstacles while supporting the game’s lighthearted platforming mechanics.
