Ambitious hobby hunters can be happy, because with the next update to theHunter Call of the Wild, which will be released at the same time as the Modern Rifle Pack, PC gamers can also look forward to technical innovation. This should provide a decent FPS boost on various machines. The update is currently scheduled for February 22.

We are talking about the new AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) support. This is a modern scaling technology that allows the game to be computed in a lower resolution and, in a second step, to be scaled back to the original resolution. This relieves the GPU and ensures faster calculations, so you end up getting more FPS on the screen. Thanks to advanced technology, the difference is extremely small. AMD FSR it is an alternative to NVIDIA DLSS, which is based on machine learning. However, unlike NVIDIA, AMD technology can run on many more GPUs because the “spatial scaling” used here doesn’t require AI.

The technology is supported by various AMD graphics cards and select NVIDIA GPUs. Among the latter are also the very popular:

  • Nvidia GTX 10/16 series
  • Nvidia RTX 20 series
  • Nvidia RTX 30 series

This should cover many games that can look forward to even smoother gameplay in the future.

FSR offers a plethora of options with four modes to choose from: Ultra Quality, Quality, Balanced, and Performance. Ultra Quality mode produces an image with almost identical quality to the native rendering, while Performance mode allows for a higher frame rate. Players can easily choose their favorite that suits their system.

FSR can be easily activated in the settings. It can be found under Graphics -> AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0.
